Swiss, made for and marked on dial and case for Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, 8-day two-train tandem winding travel clock with alarm, leather fold-out original case measuring 103mm x 107mm when closed, brass interior OF case with silver-plated rear, white enamel DS impressed dial, SW-SS, alarm function adjusted by setting time counter-clockwise, 15J, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#116041 to rear of inner case.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good alarm function and tone, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, oxide to largest winding wheel, some fine scratches, two mismatched screws on steel plate over winding gear adjacent stem; dial nearly flawless in visible portion with a minuscule scratch at perimeter below 6; excellent hands; leather outer case shows light to medium wear, some mild finish loss and marks, some fraying of interior fabric; inner brass case shows light wear, finish loss, rear lid with a fracture adjacent hinge which is evident to external surface of lid but is only evident internally at very short size adjacent the hinge; crown shows light wear; glass crystal with scratches.
